Howdy folks!I hope you all have a nice cup of Joe in hand because this week's edit is a friendly sparring activity for the mind. I over indexed on quotes and under indexed on drawings but plan to update this chapter after hearing your thoughts like I'm Kanye producing Life of Pablo. As always, I am begging you to hit reply. Before we jump in, let's recap how we got here: In chapter 1 we looked at how the internet broadly, and software specifically, makes it incredibly easy to distribute content online. In chapter 2 we looked at how free distribution didn’t just mean output at scale but input at scale as well. Everyone could share content in the same way which led to abundance. In chapter 3 we looked at how certain aggregators used algorithmic discovery to make sense of the abundant content. Today we’ll explore the content creators' response to aggregation which is going niche.
